T3 - Intra-articular or inter-lesion Steroid Injections
This are commonly used synthetic steroid injections among orthopaedic and sports medicine doctors for chronic inflammatory conditions esp. into joints – osteoarthritis etc. due to trauma or over-use injuries.

These injections provide pain relief and anti-inflammation resulting in reduced swelling or effusion of the joint. The outcome may defer from patient to patient with patients receiving about 2 injections per year esp. those patients who do not want to undergo surgery. In stages one and two of osteoarthritis the results are encouraging and good.
