Dato’ Dr. Gurcharan Singh
With more than 30 years of exposure to sport and medicine, fondly known as Dato’ Guru, is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His Masters qualification in Occupational Medicine, Safety and Health as well as Masters in Sports Medicine are from Australia. In addition, an Instructor in Sports Medicine and having officiated at several Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup Finals, Commonwealth Games, Regional Games and IOC sports medicine seminars as well as anti-doping workshops since 1983. He is responsible for the organisation of medical & anti-doping services during tournaments; involved in varied research projects, implementation of “football for health” projects, organisation of sports medicine seminars and conferences, anti-doping workshops and member expert panel for age determination, gender verification, TUE advisory panel, anti-doping case management and FIFA Covid-19 Medical Working Group.
